In our lab, the pursuit of structural elegance within cells guides our inquiry. Driven by a passion for uncovering the sublime architecture inherent in cellular components, we embrace a structure-first approach to research. Through the lens of "cryo-electron histology," we seek to answer profound questions: How are periodic structures within organelles constructed? What role does each domain play in their function? What are the consequences of structural disruptions? Our investigations are a reverse-engineered journey of discovery, where resolving complex structures with cryo-electron microscopy reveals clues to their formation and purpose, challenging conventional research paradigms and continuously redefining our understanding of cellular anatomy.
