Molecular Pathology

Our laboratory focuses on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Our purpose is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of these diseases and find a clue for the translational research.
Our research is involved in both human (specimens) and animals using interdisciplinary methodologies including molecular biology, pathology, cell culture and biochemistry. One of the major features in our laboratory is that we are able to develop a novel genetically modified (transgenic and knock-out) rabbits. We welcome all students who want to get Ph.D. degree to perform experiments in our laboratory. We also welcome foreign students to study here because all staff can communicate in English and our lab meeting is in English too. If you are interested in our lab, please feel free to contact us.
