Pathology

In the field of endocrine pathology, we aim to clarify on the bases of molecular pathology and molecular cell biology, etiology, structure, histogenesis, course and outcome of endocrine disorders, particularly, the neoplasms of thyroid gland. Not only utilizing the pathological tissues from patients, tissues from animal experiments and cells from cell culture study consist of important part of the materials for our research, where, in addition to the molecular techniques, the latest technology of immunohistochemistry, immunoelectron microscopy, serial block-face SEM (SBF-SEM) and so on are routine use. The goal of our research is to contribute to the clinical medicine by improving diagnostic pathology and offering new principles for therapeutics as well.
